The fable of Andronica, a heroine of the old school of romance, is conducted with considerable art. The attention is agreeably kept awake by a series of interesting events, which seldom exceed the bounds of credibility. The composition is, in general, fluent and easy, and the whole work indicates merit of no inferior order. It is a fiction founded upon remote historical fact.
