The Ghost of Mrs Bennett's departed genius here appears in the shape of six volumes, duodecimo, (terribile visu!) and exposes a most lamentable vicissitude lately experienced by that lady in her mental capacity. So much bombastic inanity and vicious language tempts us to venture a guess - watchmakers put their names to watches which they never made, engravers to engravings which they never touched - Did not Mrs Bennett receive a douceur for her name, and does not this 'Ghost,' (but no spirit) visit the world at the bidding of Mr and Mrs Lane? Is not this their handy work? Internal evidence says, yes; and common sense and decency require that the price should be reduced form shillings to pence.
