'The Novice of St Dominick,' by Miss Sydney Owenson, is an amusing performance, and is honourable to the genius and talents of the fair writer. The characters are drawn with considerable force and skill, and the story abounds with interest. The allusions, in the progress of the work, to the history of the times, prove that Miss Owenson has not confined her reading to mere works of fancy. [complete]
