'Letitia, 4 vols. 21s.'
This performance ought rather to have been entitled "The Three Letitias," for there are circumstantial memoirs of no less than three heroines of that name. The authoress possesses considerable merit as an observer of human life and manners; her discriminations are just and accurate, and there is a variety in her episodes which fatigues the attention, while it shows a vigour of imagination.
