Dorothy Blakey, The Minerva Press, 1790-1820, London, 1939 (p. 232): 'this title is not by Emma de Lisle [the pseudonym of Emma Parker], but the production of another author, mistakenly sent to the press with de Lisle's name on the title page; Emma de Lisle's manuscript was later published as Fitz-Edward.'

Eva of Cambria has been attributed to Amelia Beauclerc owing to the fact that the title page of Disorder and Order reads, "By Amelia Beauclerc, Author of [...] Alinda, or the Child of Mystery". Alinda is ascribed, it its title page, to "the Author of [...] Castle of Taiffa". And finally, the title page of The Castle of Tariffa states that it was written "by the Author of [...] Eva of Cambria". - Andrew Davies, "The Gothic Novel in Wales" Revisited.
